AMCA’s Certified Ratings Program is recognized in more than 155 countries. It is a standard-setting body, creating methods for testing and other test standards, some of which are also national and international standards. These standards are the basis for AMCA’s certified ratings program.
We utilize (3) laboratories to perform a multitude of tests, ranging from the garden variety mechanical run test and vibration verification……on up to the complex strain gauge tests and witnessed performance tests. There are only (40) AMCA registered laboratories worldwide, and we are accountable for two of them. We have recently added a tunnel and large fan test facility at our axial fan plant that can handle the largest of requirements. To date we have tested up to 98" diameter fans, with capabilties of testing 110" diameter fans. Truly, one of the best of it’s kind in the fan industry. Prototype testing, new product line testing, and customer witnessed tests are all part of the work carried on at the American Fan Co. / Woods laboratories.
